Repurposing can make good work go further. The weak version asks AI to turn one article into ten posts and publishes everything unchanged. The better version uses AI for first drafts and formatting while a person decides what is worth saying, what is accurate, and what sounds like the brand.
Choose a source with enough substance
Start with a piece that contains a real point of view: a guide, webinar transcript, customer-approved case study, or internal lesson that is safe to share. Avoid feeding private customer data or confidential material into tools that are not approved for it.
Build a small editorial pipeline
- Capture: save the source and its canonical link in one content queue.
- Extract: ask for the main argument, supporting points, and exact claims—without adding facts.
- Draft: request a few distinct formats, each with its own audience and purpose.
- Edit: verify claims, add examples, remove filler, and restore the writer's voice.
- Approve: a named editor checks the final copy before it is scheduled.
Give the model guardrails
Provide a short style guide with preferred terms, audience, tone, and words to avoid. Ask the model to stay close to the source. If a draft introduces a statistic or claim that is not present, it should flag the gap rather than make one up.
Keep the human edit visible
Use a status such as Source, Draft, Review, and Approved. Store the source link, generated draft, editor, and approval date together. If a draft is not approved, it should not quietly move to the publishing queue.
A lightweight quality check
- Does the draft accurately reflect the source?
- Is the audience and purpose different enough to justify this format?
- Are all names, numbers, claims, and quotes verified?
- Would a real person on the team be comfortable signing their name to it?
Measure quality, not output volume
Track time saved in first-draft creation, edits needed, and how often a draft is rejected or corrected. More posts are not automatically better. Keep only the formats that help you share useful ideas with the right readers.
